Bunding and Storage Solutions
Reduce Risk, Manage Compliance
If your facility works with hazardous liquids, then safe storage and containment is crucial to avoid environmental damage, worker accidents or regulation violations.
What is Bunding?
Bunding, also known as a bund, is a spill containment system which forms a secondary perimeter around stored liquids. Any leaks or escapes that occur can be captured more easily with bunding.
Bunding will help you comply with the safe containment, diversion and storage of dangerous liquids. Designed as a solution to store all sizes of drums or containers that hold oils, fuels, acids, corrosives, coolants, paints, solvents and herbicides.
Conveniently available in pallets, cabinets, trolleys and spill trays, there will be bunding to suit any wash bay, fuel depot, or warehouse.
Prevent hazardous liquids from causing harm to your work mates and the environment.
Bunded Spill Pallets
Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs) and drums are used to store liquids, semi-solids and solids. With capacities ranging from 200-1000 litres, extensive damage could occur in the event of a spill. Using ibc bund and drum bunded spill pallets helps to reduce the risk of spills.
If you store hazardous chemicals such as acids and alkalis, adequate bunding is essential for safe storage and transport. Bunded spill pallets provide low-profile leak and spill-proof storage to prevent potentially damaging spills. Stratex spill pallets are forklift compatible and available in polyethylene and steel for durability.
Bunded Work Floors
Drum bund work floors are a flexible decking solution for liquid handling areas at your workplace. A low-profile design provides easy access, while a slip resistant finish reduces the accident risks. Ramps are also available for improved accessibility.
Stratex stocks a range of accessories to protect bunding stored outdoors. Hard cover bunds provide all-weather protection and are lockable for added security.
Heavy duty covers can be fitted over IBC for protection from the elements and are available to suit a variety of bunded storage sizes. Our spill trays (or mini bunds), are ideal for catching oil drips from leaking machinery or when working with fluids.
Stratex offers a variety of floor bunding to suit all types of environments. We offer solutions for indoor and outdoor use without compromising access for staff and vehicles. Our bunding stops spills from spreading from work areas into drains and waterways.
PVC floor bunding is a flexible and cost-effective way of bunding large areas that contain hazardous liquids. Rubber bunding is ideal for use around pallet racking, wash bays, fuel dispensing areas and oil storage facilities. Megabund is made from extruded polyurethane and features excellent chemical resistance, making it ideal for containing hazardous liquids. Forklift compatible and compliant with Australian Standards AS/NZS 3833:2007. Barrier floor bunding provides an effective low-cost alternative for liquid storage areas. Aluminium floor bunding is made from marine grade aluminium with excellent corrosion resistance. Non-magnetic and non-sparking properties make it ideal for areas containing explosive vapours.
Portable Collapsible Bunding
Collapsible sidewall bunding is a portable solution for the safe and compliant storage of storage drums and equipment. Made from heavy duty PVC material, the unique sidewall design collapses so it can be driven over by forklifts and machinery. Triangular foam sidewall bunding is quick and easy to deploy and ideal for temporary storage of liquids. Durable construction with high quality materials makes it vehicle compatible.
Bunded Fuel Tanks
These self bunded fuel tanks are designed for diesel and petrol storage, and can be used in mobile and stationary applications. Stratex bund tanks are robust and relocatable even while full of fluid, making them ideal for fuel transport and distribution.
Hazardous Storage Cabinets
Hazardous goods such as flammable liquids and corrosive chemicals can pose a risk to people, property and the environment – even when not in use. Having compliant storage can help to reduce risk in your workplace. We also offer cabinets designed specifically for outdoor use.
From IBC bunding to drip trays, Stratex has all of your chemical and oil bunding needs covered
Australian Regulations and Standards state that all hazardous liquids, be it oil, chemicals or liquid waste, must be stored on chemical bunds at least 110% of the largest container stored in the area.
At Stratex, our range of oil and chemical bunding systems are of premium quality, super strong and are compliant with all local and national regulations when it comes to spill management in the workplace.
Having your IBCs, drums or containers stored on chemical bunding pallets and trays means that any major spill or incidental leaks are contained before they hit the ground. Chemical bunds protect the workplace and importantly, the staff from contact with any hazardous material stored in your containers.
