What is the EnviroPad?
The EnviroPad is a spill management solution that works much like a bunded storage container, except it doesn’t use sidewalls or a liner. Instead the EnviroPad uses innovative polymer technology to absorb, neutralise and solidify hydrocarbon leaks and drips. Can you use it with Handheld equipment?
Yes, the EnviroPad is great for smaller handheld equipment and here’s why. Many garden and construction tools such as chainsaws, generators, pressure washers and concrete saws use two stroke engines. These powerplants remain incredibly popular due to their value, reliability and simplicity.
One of the disadvantages of these small petrol engines is their susceptibility for leaks. The good news is that it’s a common problem that’s easily solved – simply place the EnviroPad underneath equipment during refuelling or storage. The EnviroPad features an impermeable base to prevent absorbed hydrocarbons from leaching – no more concrete oil stains or rainbow puddles.
How about Vehicles & Heavy Machinery?
One of best things about the EnviroPad is its scalability – trucks, excavators and planes can also leak fluid, and the EnviroPad is available in many sizes. The XXL variant is capable of absorbing over 44 litres of engine, gearbox, hydraulic oil, petrol, diesel or aviation fuel leaks and drips.

How does the EnviroPad lower Waste Disposal Costs?
Hazardous waste disposal costs are generally calculated based on volume or weight. The EnviroPad can greatly reduce these costs, and also provides safer handling when compared with a drip pan. It achieves this in a couple of ways:
- By reducing liquid waste (including contamination). Oil drip pans stored outdoors can also unintentionally capture rainwater. Once this contamination has occurred, it must all be disposed of as hazardous waste. Larger bunded areas with rainwater contamination may also require a specialist pump truck to dispose of the hazardous waste. Associated call out and disposal costs can become costly for businesses, even when little hydrocarbon contamination exists.
- By removing spill risk. A drip pan that’s full of liquid is much more likely to result in an accidental hydrocarbon spill. This can result in both a health and occupational safety hazard.
The EnviroPad will absorb hydrocarbons only, leaving water to run off the mat.
When to replace the EnviroPad?
The EnviroPad can be reused multiple times until its absorbent capacity has been reached. This can be easily identified by discoloured edges and the EnviroPad will double in thickness. Solidified hydrocarbons will not leak, even once capacity is reached and all polymer is activated. The EnviroPad can also be stored upright or pressure washed without the risk of leaching.
