Stratex Coir Fibre Logs are made from natural coconut fibre bound by a 100% biodegradable coir fibre netting. Wooden Stake installation is quick and easy with pre-drilled holes. They are ideal for constructing check structures, sediment control, managing changes in stream flow velocity, shaping channels and stabilising banks and shorelines.
An environmentally friendly solution for bush regeneration projects, coir logs help hold moisture for tree and plant growth whilst providing a structure for vegetation to establish and take hold for long term stabilisation.

    Features

    • Pre-drilled holes for quicker and easier stake installation
    • Save on installation time and costs
    • Uses less wooden stakes on installation
    • Higher density fibres for increased performance and life span

Manual Handling Risks with Coir Logs

Some coir logs can be as large as 300mm in diameter and 3m long. On average these weigh over 20kg. They are heavy, cumbersome and usually require two people to unload and install on site. Given their length and weight, there is an increased risk of manual handling injury to operators. Stratex Coir Logs are 200mm diameter, 2.4m in length and weigh under 12kg, allowing safer handling by an individual operator. This unique sizing not only provides the benefit of lower freight cost to site, but more importantly are a safer and easier product to install.

    Minimum purchase quantity of 10.

  • Coir Mesh Matting – 2m x 25m x 700gsm

Coir mesh is a heavy duty, lower cost alternative to jute matting. It can be used to stabilise sloped soil banks and swales, helping to retain moisture whilst preventing wind and rain erosion. Coir mesh can also prevent weed growth. Simply place coir mesh over soil and cut for vegetation as required. Mesh will biodegrade over time, enriching soil with added nutrients and structure.

    • Highly effective method to control erosion and stabilise soil
    • Made from coconut husk fibres, a renewable byproduct of the coconut production process
    • Acts as a barrier to prevent soil particles from being disturbed by wind and water
    • Helps plants establish and retains moisture in soil
    • Releases nutrients into soil as coir fibres slowly biodegrade over time
    • Prevents and inhibits weed growth
    • 2m x 25m to suit most applications
    • 700gsm thick and woven to withstand prolonged UV exposure and high water flow rates
    • Can be used in conjunction with other erosion control products such as coir logs, silt socks and silt fences
  • Silt & Sediment Fence – 870mm x 100m

Stratex Silt Fences are made from heavy duty UV-resistant silt mesh and are designed to reduce soil sediment runoff from building sites. They allow water to filter through the fabric, while suspending soil particles that settle to the ground.
    Ideal Usage
The silt fence is supported by hardwood stakes and is used to surround construction sites and soil stockpiles. This prevents sediment flowing offsite and entering rivers, stormwater drains and sensitive environments. Can be used during earthworks and construction activities for either domestic or civil engineering projects.

  • FloodSmart Flood Pillow – 300 x 600mm (5 Pack)

FloodSmart Flood Pillows give the opportunity for businesses and home owners to be prepared and ready to respond quickly and easily in a flood emergency. Flood preparation and flood response has always traditionally revolved around the use of sand bags to protect properties from water damage. Sand bagging is an incredibly labour  intensive process. Even sourcing and transporting the sand in a crisis to then manually fill the bags is an arduous process.

The FloodSmart Flood Pillow performs like a sand bag  or similar products, without the sand. Made from a sturdy Geotextile fabric, the Flood Pillow contains a highly absorbent polymer that activates when exposed to fresh water. When fully activated they may be stacked as you would sand bags to create a highly effective barrier to block or divert nuisance water. Alternatively, they may be used to absorb water from roof leaks, leaking appliances such as washing machines, freezers and dishwashers and in many other  circumstances where water is seeping or getting away. They are incredibly easy to transport and store. Flood Pillows can be activated using the flood water (*not suitable for salt water flooding), by hose or soaking in a temporary bund, wading pool or even a bath. They are available in packs of 5, a carton of 50 or by the pallet.

    Ideal for:

    • Creating a barrier to divert or block flood or nuisance water.
    • Emergency services, councils and construction
    • Residential and business use Shopping centres, schools,

    Features:

    • Quick and easy alternative to sandbags
    • Ready to use. Self-activates in fresh water
    • Multiple bags can be positioned or stacked to create a barrier for nuisance water
    • Can be used indoors under leaking ceilings or roofs

  • Concrete Washout Filtration Unit Filter Bag

The CSS115 Filtration Unit is designed for the safe and convenient handling of concrete washwater by dealing with the harmful waste on site. The purpose constructed filtration bag is manufactured from a 300gsm, 900mm cube non-woven geotextile fabric inner layer with a bulk bag protective external. Sand, gravel and suspended concrete particles as fine as 80 microns are separated from the concrete slurry generated from the washout of concrete trucks and other equipment onsite and from saw cutting, core drilling, grinding and grooving concrete. Excess water passes through the filter bag and is captured in the holding tank below for testing and treatment.  This unit can also be used as a dewatering station for filtering sediment laden water on sites that need to control the amount of sediment or pollution runoff.

    Features:

    • Allows best practice and EPA compliance for handling concrete slurry onsite
    • Suits concrete slurry from truck & equip washout, concrete cutting, coring & grinding
    • Can be used for pumping and filtering sediment from silt laden water
    • Filters and separates washout particles to 80 microns from slurry water
    • Filter bag is suspended from frame for easy removal when full by crane or forklift
    • Washout up to 80 trucks before replacing the supplied filter bag (CSS115FB)
    • Wastewater in tank can be tested and treated without the need for off-site processing
    • 50mm valve fitted standard
    • Fork guides and crane lugs fitted for easy relocation around the site
    • Enamel paint finish
